A life too long in many ways
Found yourself counting down the days
An empty heart with no resolutions
Losing your desire to illusions
Thinking about the last time I saw you
Hiding among the boxes of despair
You were there and in the blink of an eye
I will never know the reasons why
With the angels surrounding you
I can see your face
Your lonely embrace
Touching the hearts of many my friend
Why do the most beautiful souls
Always die in the end
There must’ve been much pain and sorrow
Darkness behind a veil of smiles my friend
As I only saw a snapshot of your life
What could’ve gone so wrong in the end
Was life lived too long in many ways
Found yourself counting the days
You were alone and in the blink of an eye
I will never no the reasons why
With the angels surrounding you
I can see your face
Your lonely embrace
Touching the hearts of many my friend
Why do the most beautiful souls
Always die in the end
