Pebbles and stones were scattered
at the riverbed and the shallow depths
of green water passing between fresh,
elevated lands of grass and shrubs.
Large rocks at the river bank were
glimmering from the sunlight
lasering through fog and onto their
serrated edges whilst the water, now
gentle, skipped across decades old
branches embedded in the river.
