Undivided Magazine publishes online and accepts original poetry, non-fiction, short fiction, creative non-fiction, art, and photography. Please do not submit material that has been previously published with other publications, without authorization to reprint or republish.
You may submit your work to editors@undividedmagazine.ca with the subject line: “SUBMISSION:” YOUR LAST NAME, GENRE
We do not accept plagiarized, outdated, racist, sexist, xenophobic, defamatory, libelous material, or any other material deemed offensive. This includes any articles or non-fiction pieces that are false, inaccurate, misleading, or submitted for an ulterior purpose such as advertising material. Discretion is up to our editors.
Editing:
Our editorial team at Undivided Magazine reserves the right to edit submissions where applicable; including making edits for the purposes of length, clarity, credibility, grammar, consistency, and/or concision, to name a few.
As part of our editing process, some portions may be deemed irrelevant, inaccurate, and/or inconsistent to publish, given a variety of reasons which may include the context of the piece.
At the discretion of the editorial board, our editing process may potentially include editing submissions to take a different direction than originally submitted. However, prior to publishing, we will consult with you.
Sources/References (if applicable):
If any sources (external, interviews, both primary and secondary research, books, websites, people, experts, statistics, studies, something you saw, a conversation you had, etc.) are consulted, we require you to submit those references/sources so that we may fact check the submission.
If applicable, submission of sources/references is accepted in the following formats where appropriate: forwarded emails, screenshots, website links, transcribed interviews, pictures, citations (APA or MLA), et cetera.
Response Time:
Our response time for submissions is approximately two to 10 business days. Simultaneous submissions to other publications are allowed, but please inform us if your work has been accepted elsewhere.
Publication Time:
Our turnaround for editing and publication is approximately 10 to 20 days, depending on changes that need to be made to submissions.
Copyright:
The author holds all copyright to works published on Undivided Magazine. We do not require that material be copyrighted prior to submission.
