We accept fictional short stories that can be usually read in one sitting. This can include stories of any genre (as long as the piece meets our submission guidelines), with original ideas, themes, events, dialogue, and characters.
Style Tips: Usually fiction is written in prose and focuses on a fictional incident, or series of connected incidents – a story! Characters and dialogue are obviously encouraged, but not always necessary. Be creative!
Length: up to 7500 words
Accompanying Graphics/Images: Optional
Submission Template: When submitting your work, please begin with the following bits of information respectively at the very top of your document: “Fiction Short,” type of fiction, your first and last name, title, word count, and contact information. If a photograph is submitted, a photo caption is optional.
